Supporting parents with care that is thoughtful, relational, and evidence informed. At Kindred Haven, therapy is not about fixing what is “wrong.” It is about creating a space where you can slow down, feel safe enough to explore what you’ve been carrying, and begin to make sense of your experiences – at your own pace.
Many parents come to us holding a mix of emotions that can feel difficult to name: overwhelm, disconnection, anxiety, grief, or a quiet sense of not feeling like themselves. Therapy offers a space where these experiences can be gently understood, rather than pushed aside.

I feel safe to share thoughts and feelings I find difficult to articulate outside of counselling sessions. The steadfastness conveyed definitely makes me feel supported and encouraged too, even (or especially) when the emotions are difficult to navigate. I learnt that I'm not alone - even if it often seems that way - among many things. There is always at least one valuable takeaway point from each session that carries me through tough days.
— Selina
I feel very supported, encouraged, and calm during the sessions. My therapist makes me feel safe to share my feelings because I know that she would acknowledge the pain and worries that I am feeling from within. I learned about grounding techniques to calm myself down whenever I am anxious or starting to feel anxiety. I also learned how to cope with negative thoughts and feelings, and not keep beating myself up over mistakes I have done in the past that have caused me so much pain in present times.
— Veronica
I feel supported and I feel like there is someone present for me regardless of my emotional weather on that day. I learnt more about myself and how I tend to deal with upsetting things in certain ways that might hinder me in actually moving forward. Sessions usually proceeds at a pace that I am comfortable with.”
